Asia Consciousness Festival June 5 - 21, HONG KONG

"If you can read and comprehend this, you are conscious. Science tells us a lot about the workings of the human body. We have an understanding of the systems that support life such as breathing, digestion, and reproduction, but how does consciousness arise? Our experiences seem to correlate to activity in the brain, but how do these activities create the sensation of experience? Consciousness underlies our perception of reality. Computers are able to process information, much like the mind. They are now able to see, hear, smell, touch, and taste. As they become more powerful, can they achieve consciousness? Comparing developments over the past hundred years compared to the past thousands in history, the man-kind appears to be headed towards a pinnacle, singularity, or “Omega Point.” How is consciousness evolving and where are we headed?

The Asia Consciousness Festival brings together a variety of events that explore and celebrate consciousness. Whether you are interested developing an understanding of the science underlying conscious experience, discovering the latest algorithms for mimicking human intelligence, learning techniques to cultivate mind and body, or sharing your views on the future of collective consciousness with like-minded people, there is something for everyone."
